I made these Kuchi coins using old South African coins. They are inspired by the Kuch people of Afghanistan are known from making much of their tribal adornment with old coins. Also featuring African pressed metal beads and faceted garnet beads from India.
This necklace is held together with thick cotton cord in black and fastens with a handmade copper button and loop at the back. Length approx. 57cm (non-adjustable).
This is a one-of-a-kind handmade piece.
